The Art of a Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Read your bag of chips and the recipe is pretty standard, right? Flour, baking soda, salt mixed together. Cream some butter with two types of sugar then add some eggs, vanilla and chips. Your recipe may add a bit more of this and less of that. In our house, we even drop the freshly baked pan from a height of twelve inches to finish them off.
Consider now the idea of introducing a third form of sugar!
I have found that dividing the sweetener at about 1/3 brown sugar, 1/3 honey and 1/3 white sugar adds a moistness and chewiness that can't be beat. If you have discerning taste-buds - you may even get the smallest hint of honey in the final product.
Now - get out there and modify that age-old family recipe that nobody thought you could ever improve upon. Oh, and make sure you are using honey that came from someone you know... someone like me, perhaps!
